Dear Exhibitors, Partners, and Visitors,
We sincerely thank you for your continued trust and support of Functional Textiles Shanghai by PERFORMANCE DAYS (FTS) .
We have just received an urgent notice from the relevant government authorities that the 2026 WorldSkills Competition will take place from September 21 to 27. As part of the event, the Mercedes‑Benz Arena and surrounding facilities - including the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center - have been designated as supporting venues. During this period, with national leaders from multiple countries in attendance, strict security and traffic controls will be enforced around the venue. Access to the area will be significantly restricted. Therefore, our exhibitors and visitors can not get in/out of the venue during the day time.
Due to this unforeseen force majeure, the 2026 FW / Functional Textiles Shanghai, originally scheduled for September 22–23, 2026 , can no longer be held on the planned dates. We sincerely apologize for the disruption and inconvenience this causes to all of you. Our team has been working around the clock since receiving the notice to coordinate with all parties and secure a viable solution. We are now publishing the following:
1. New Show Dates
November 18–19, 2026 .
2. Venue
Original location: Hall H3, Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center .
3. Additional Arrangement for September 22–23
We understand that many of you have already made travel and business plans for the original dates. To help mitigate the impact, we are actively arranging a small‑scale matchmaking event and innovative products showcase on September 22–23 at an alternative venue. Due to space limitations, details will be confirmed and shared separately.
4. Visitor Pre-registration
All visitor pre-registrations that have already been approved will be automatically transferred to the new dates (November 18–19). No re‑registration is required.
We fully recognize the significant inconvenience this unexpected change has caused, this postponement was not a choice, but a necessity resulting from a sudden and unforeseeable force majeure. What remains unchanged, however, is our commitment to you. We will use the additional time to prepare more thoroughly and deliver a better experience for all participants.
